Mass Effect: Andromeda Protagonist Name Revealed In N7 Day Trailer?

Every since the massive leak of supposed details surrounding Mass Effect: Andromeda earlier this year, further information about the game have been very hushed. We got that teaser trailer on N7 day, but it didn't seem to offer much in way of actual details…

…or did it?

As GamesRadar point out, there is a dog tag in the trailer that appears to say 'Rider/Ryder' (I think Ryder). There is speculation, that this could be the last name of the protagonist in the game, much like Shepard in the original trilogy. There is obviously some reason the name appears as dog tags on the cockpit of a ship someone is flying.

That not enough for you? Well, Studio Director at Bioware Yannick Ross has previously said that there was a "very good reason" for the song choice in E3 trailer from earlier this year. The name of that song? "Ghost Riders In the Sky" by Johnny Cash. I'm sure you can see the connection there.

Need just a little bit more? Well, Shepard was supposedly named after the first American man in space, Alan Shepard. The first American woman's name? Sally Ride. And of course, FemShep voice actor Jennifer Hale did the VO in the trailer the dog tags come from.

Nothing official here of course, but I think that is sufficient evidence to put this in the 'likely'column.
