Armed Police Descend Upon Winter Soldier Cosplayer In London

The Daily Mirror reports,

This is the shocking moment a man dressed as Marvel comics character Winter Solider was arrested in London's financial district on suspicion of having a firearm, sparking fears of a terror attack.

Heavily armed police swarmed on Canary Wharf this afternoon after reports of a man walking across a bridge on the North Dock, apparently armed with a shotgun.

The Daily Mail reports,

Police were called at 2.15pm after receiving distress calls that witnesses had seen the man walking suspiciously with a firearm. Officers arrested the 29-year-old man at the scene near West India Quay station.

It appears the man was dressed as a Marvel comicbook character and may have been going to a comic convention in Brighton.

Oh dear, Bucky.. the shotgun, believed to be an imitation, a "soft" air rifle, was seized.

Advice to cosplayers in Britain… don't take your weapons out in public. This is not he first time this has happened.
