Retailers Will Get Free Copies Of Vision #2 To Match Vision #1 Orders

Vision (2015-) 001-004

Marvel launched The Vision #1 this week by Tom King, Gabriel Hernandez Walta and Jordie Bellaire. And it is probably the most chilling thing they have published in a very long time.

We have a Vision who has created life. A wife and two children for himself, to live in suburbia. House number 616.

Both teaching them about life, while trying to learn himself.

Vision (2015-) 001-010And fundamentally failing along the way.

Spoilers.

It's closer to the portrayal of Dr Manhattan in Watchmen, but more tragic in that its his own creations that are left to suffer. At the end of Watchmen, Manhattan talked about his revelation about life, and how he was going off to make some.

Vision (2015-) 001-012

The Vision is that story. It is the secret sequel to Watchmen. And clearly the highlight of the Marvel relaunch so far.

Which, naturally means it will be cancelled in six issues.

Well, Marvel Comics seem to want to actually do something about that. By making sure that those who picked up the first issue have the best chance of picking up the second issue.

Which's why they are pumping up every stores order of The Vision #2 to match their orders of the first, for free.

Which would, conversely, reward those stores that slashed their orders the most. But it would give them the opportunity to run promotions to push that second issue.

Here's an unlettered preview of what's to come.
