According to Yahoo! Movies, Empire Magazine will release a special subscribers cover featuring Jared Leto as the Joker, offering the clearest view of his off-kilter version of the character as he will appear in next summer’s Suicide Squad:
Comic Book Movie reports the magazine features an interview with Leto, in which he talks about his odd behavior on set and immersive approach to the role. “I took a pretty deep dive. But this was a unique opportunity and I couldn’t imagine doing it another way. It was fun, playing those psychological games,” he said. “But at the same time it was very painful, like giving birth out of my prick hole.”
“If you don’t break rules, you’re not going to strike new ground,” he adds. “I think I’ll be cooling down for the rest of my life.”
The site also scanned several images from the cover story, including new shots of Viola Davis as Amanda Waller and Margot Robbie as Dr. Harleen Quinzel.
