Like the free preview weekends traditional pay TV services occasionally offer, Amazon will stream the first two episodes of their upcoming series The Man in the High Castle this weekend according to Deadline.
The series, based on the Phillip K. Dick novel, depicts a 1962 in which the Axis powers defeated the Allies. Following the war, control of the United States is divided between Imperial Japanese and Nazi German forces. The show stars Alexa Davalos as one woman trying to navigate the occupied country. It also features DJ Qualls, Joel de la Fuente and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. All recently appeared at New York Comic Con in support of the show, where the second episode screened for fans.
The episodes will be available to anyone at http://www.amazon.com/maninthehighcastle from 12am Pacific on Friday, October 23rd until 11:59pm Pacific on Sunday, October 25th. Both episodes will be available in the US and UK. Following the free weekend, the second episode will continue to be available to Amazon Prime users ahead of the series launch on November 20th.
