It's her way or the highway as Variety reports UFC fighter Ronda Rousey is expected to star in a remake of the 1989 roughneck classic, Road House.
In the original film, Patrick Swayze starred as Dalton, a "cooler" hired by the owner of Jasper, Missouri's Double Deuce to clean up the bar. Dalton also finds love, but the situation gets complicated when a greedy local businessman plots to sabotage the bar in order to buy it for pennies and build a new land development. Despite his goal to live a life of pacifism, Dalton has to knock in some heads, tear at least one guy's neck out and cause general mayhem. A stuffed polar bear gets toppled at one point.
Rousey would take Swayze's place in the new film. According to Variety, she even sought the approval of Swayze's widow, Lisa Niemi.
As of now, no release date or director have been announced.
