Bleeding Cool Bestseller List – 6th September 2015 – Deadpool Vs. Thanos Vs. Everybody

Deadpool_vs_Thanos_1_Action_Figure_VariantThis is the Top Ten Bleeding Cool Bestseller List, as compiled by a number of comic stores from their sales on Wednesday and Thursday. It measures what are known as the "Wednesday Warriors", those who can't wait to the weekend to get this week's comics. We salute you, and the keenness you bring to your passion. An indication of unstoppable desire….

And, by a league, Deadpool Vs Thanos takes the top spot. No competition. Well below are the Secret Wars spinoffs, with We Stand On Guard beating Batman's title this month and the reprint of Miracleman bursting its way in as well….

  • 1. Deadpool Vs. Thanos #1
  • 2. Thors #3
  • 3. Age of Apocalypse #3
  • 4. We Stand Guard #3
  • 5. Detective Comics #44
  • 6. Future Imperfect #5
  • 7. Miracleman by Gaiman And Buckingham #1
  • 8. Daredevil #18
  • 9. House Of M #2
  • 10. Silk #7

Who had this to say,

DC gets one book in the top ten (and just barely, in tenth place!),while Image takes #1 with the superb We Stand on Guard #3. Apparently DC is determined to win the race to irrelevance, rushing headlong towards a time when they don't have a single book in the top ten!

Continued interest in classic Batman and Superman titles (to fill the absence of both icons from the DC line, apparently).

We stand Guard takes the #1 single issue spot.  Deadpool vs Thanos Retailers Variant takes the #2 spot with Deadpool vs Thanos taking the over all sales combined with regular cover included in total sales. Marvel takes #3, #4 #5#8 spots.  Lazarus and Plutona takes #9 and #10 spots and Dc hits the 6th and 7th spots.   This was a week when a good portion of sales came through back issues and trades.

Much better week than I thought it would be. Deadpool vs Thanos sold great. Even better than his previous spin offs. With out any big titles out this week along with school starting I thought there might be a weaker turn out for new comics. I was wrong. Very good week.

Harley Quinn. Deadpool. Aquaman. What do these three have in common? High demand for their back issues.

VERY light week this week. Both the big two had pretty small release weeks, but Marvel still came out on top with Age of Apocalypse and Deadpool Vs. Thanos. The "bigger name" Secret Wars tie-ins are doing well, but with a lot of them wrapping up, we're wondering how that will affect sales of All-New All-Different Marvel. Not only that, but we still had people coming in expecting Secret Wars #7. Apparently Marvel never updated their site……
