Resident Evil 2 Remake Officially Announced
The possibility of Resident Evil 2 remake has been lingering for the last few weeks as several posts from R&D inside Capcom came out asking if fans wanted it. Unsurprisingly, they responded with a pretty emphatic, "yes please".
That has lead the publisher to greenlighting the project, which was revealed in a video online today. In it, producer Yoshiaki Hirabyashi thanks fans for the support and explains that it was their passion that got the game made. He does say it will be a while until we hear anything furthe, which is understandable considering the game just got the go ahead, so maybe temper your expectations for a little bit.
