This is the Top Ten Bleeding Cool Bestseller List, as compiled by a number of comic stores from their sales on Wednesday and Thursday. It measures what are known as the "Wednesday Warriors", those who can't wait to the weekend to get this week's comics. We salute you, and the keenness you bring to your passion.

And at number one, beating out all the Secret Wars-y titles, it;s the launch of Bryan Hitch's Justice League Of America. Do also note an impressive performances for Mad Max…

Justice League of America #1 benefited from multiple covers–while it wasn't #1 in terms of distinct customers buying the book, it was #1 in total sales becuase of multiple copy purchases. Overall softness of the second issues of most Secret Wars tie-in series is disturbing. Some readers said that the first issues just weren't good enough to merit continuing with them; others said that all the reports about Marvel's Secret Wars deadline disasters convinced them to avoid frustration by just dumping the books now.

DC Silver Age sales were very solid again, and there was renewed interest in 1980s Marvels. Lots of customers who don't like what they're finding in the pages of the new DC and Marvel titles are going back to the periods when they enjoyed the books the most.

Very strong out of the gate for JLA and Robin. Otherwise a so-so week. Thors did less than half of Thor, which I feared. Hoping the delays lead to some light weeks and people revisit some of these books. Good reviews of the new DC books should pick up their sales in the coming weeks.

Amazingly Bryan Hitch's new JLA came out on top in our store. I was expecting it to be a pretty big hit, but not nearly as big as this. Secret Wars tie ins are still going pretty strong, but I've lost count over how many customers have asked me when Secret Wars #4 will be out. We've nearly sold out of our stock Southern Bastards #9, and that was BEFORE the big TV deal dropped. Another Great week for books.JLA #1 doubled the second book of the week which was impressive since it was a $5.99 book.Mad Max Furiosa was the surprise selling 60 copies.The only Image titles to make the list was established work like Lazarus and Low, the rest nobody cares about since they are putting out too many titles for people to care one way or another.

Lots of customers are picking up the previous DC #1's. Seems like many are taking a wait and see approach to the new titles, but they've all done really well.

Nice to see that a little bit of news on the Punisher can help move some back-issue inventory.

MAD MAX REIGNS SUPREME! Not only was it our number one seller it sold out in less then 1 hour. Harley barely beats out Deadpool. Dc Comics takes 5 spots and Marvel takes 5 as well. However, we saw almost every independent comic come close to selling out. This week marks out 12th week straight of beating our best days on new issue day. Younger fans seem to be trickling in and our trade sales are almost tripled from last year.
