It Just Keeps Getting Better – Saga #29 Is Memorable And Brave

Saga_29-1

[**Warning: Mild Spoilers for Saga #28 and #29 below!]

Now that the new issue of Saga is out, I guess it's appropriate to talk about how the last issue ended. Why don't we all just hold a moment of silence for the dearly departed Yuma? What a sad ending it was, and if you had some kind of inclination that issue #29 would somehow mend that sadness, you're wrong. From Image Comics, written by Brian K. Vaughan, with art by Fiona Staples, Saga #29 is a heart-pounding, explosive issue.

We've been following the chaotic plot as the characters continue on their three separate paths. Last issue I found myself thinking, "Well this must be the climax of it all." Nope. Honestly, no one can catch a break. Things become incredibly intense for all three groups in this issue. I know, you must be thinking, "How could things get any worse?" Well, I'll explain. You see, Brian K. Vaughan is a comic book writing genius, and when you take an incredible human like that and pair him with a crazy imaginative brilliant artist like Fiona Staples, magic happens.

It's no surprise that Saga is known for having some more graphic content, and I was a little taken back by one scene which I'm sure will circulate throughout the internet quite quickly. However, this is one aspect of many that make this book memorable and brave. I'm going to insist that you head out and pick up Sage #29. It just keeps getting better and leaves me wanting more, as always.
