Seriesfest To Give New Spin On Hollywood’s Pilot Season

Pilot season is always interesting in Hollywood as studios commission a bunch of new shows to compete for a handful of available time-slots while other shows wait to see if they’ll be renewed. And then when a pilot does get picked up, it has to scramble to make sure all of it’s cast is still available while those that don’t get the green light look around for new homes.

Well, now there is a new festival that looks to change that up a bit. Seriesfest will be having their first annual get together in Denver this month (June 18th – 21st) and will feature 26 independently produced television pilots all vying for the title of Best Pilot. The winning pilot then will be made available on demand in Colorado thanks to Comcast.

The festival will also air pilots for a few upcoming network series including ABC’s Quantico, AMC’s Humans, FX’s Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, Starz’s Survivor’s Remorse, and USA Network’s Mr. Robot.

Below is a teaser clip of the pilots they will be showing and you can see it includes Malcolm McDowell, Christian Slater, John Glover and more.
