Denver Comic Con '15: A Panel Full Of Ponies

p1

Ashleigh Jay is an all-ages writer for Bleeding Cool. She reports from Denver Comic Con and is 12 years old. Given the huge amount of programming for young people at Denver Comic Con, one of their missions, we were very happy to have Ashleigh on board to check out some of these events. She writes:

I decided to attend the Ask A Pony panel. This panel was so popular that people had to scoot close together because seats were in high demand. It was very funny and great for kids or just regular fans of my little pony.

There were cosplayers dressed up as Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Apple Jack, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, and Princess Celestia. They had people of all ages stand in line to ask the ponies questions. The line stretched from front to back and kept growing. It was fun to listen to all the questions that people asked.

The entire panel started with a song from Pinkie Pie to welcome everybody. The cosplayers actually sounded like the ponies and did an amazing job of making their answers detailed and true to their characters. I thought they were wonderful.

There were multiple questions that had all kinds of answers. Some of the questions were:

How fast does Rainbow Dash go? "Very very very very fast, like one mile in half a second."

What kinds of animals do they like? Rarity likes cows and Fluttershy likes bunnies.

What does Pinkie Pie feed her alligator? Cupcakes.

What is Rainbow Dash's favorite sport? Soccer and quidditch.

What are their favorite colors? Pinkie Pie said pink, Apple Jack said red, Rainbow Dash said all colors, Twilight Sparkle said purple and periwinkle, Fluttershy said green, Rarity said deep blue.

What does Pinkie Pie think of Cheese Sandwich? "He's hot."

I think I would go to this type of panel again. It was hilarious and interesting. I hope the cosplayers had just as much fun as everybody else. This was an enjoyable experience.
