Fifty Dollar Comic Book Day?

kindle

Some folk can't get to a comic store on Free Comic Book Day. But with some publisher ramping up the importance of the comics to upcoming events, is it fair that those who rely on other means can't get said comics?

Well DC Comics seems to be making their Divergence #1 available on Kindle a week after the event – price currently unspecified. I understand that some publisher will be posting their comics online on the day and ComiXology will be full of them.

But for those who need them physically… you can buy them from unscrupulous folk on eBay for under $50 for all fifty, such All Star Sports And Comics in Gainesville, Florida who have sold 16 complete sets so far for that price, though it has gone as high as $80…..

How about renaming it Fifty Dollar Comic Book Day?

And watch how Half Price Books does a "not quite" Free Comic Book Day…
