Is This The End For Aquaman And Mera?

Aquaman and Mera were married. Once upon a time.

Bleeding Cool pointed out a while ago that the DC Comics edict that their main characters no longer be married had affected Aquaman and his wife Mera.

While the comic book by Geoff Johns still portrayed them as a loving committed couple, it specifically never determined the nature of that relationship, never saying husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, anything that would tell the audience specifically that things had changed. While Superman and Lois Lane were no longer married – and indeed have never been a couple – Aquaman and Mera continued pretty much as before.

STK670499But in June, it appears that this relationship is no more. A description of the 8 page preview appearing in Convergence: Suicide Squad #2 says it all.
