There Are Currently No Plans To Bring Other God Of War Titles To New Consoles

Last week we learnt that God of War 3 was being remastered to celebrate the birthday of the first God of War. Now, if you are like me and think that not releasing the other games for this particular milestone is a bit of a mistake…well, it's going to remain that way for now.

In his original post about God of War 3: Remastered on PlayStation blog, Santa Monica Studios' Aaron Kaufman commented on a fan's post if we'd see more from the series. He said:

No plans for others in the franchise to bring over

I understand that porting games onto new consoles is not as easy as renaming a game master file 'godofwar.ps4', but 1 and 2 were already remastered on the PlayStation 3. It'd be nice for players who haven't touched the games before and are coming into the Sony infrastructure for the first time to be able to play through the entire series.

Perhaps one day…
