Battletoads Coming To Xbox One Version Of Shovel Knight
It's quite odd how much we've been talking about Battletoads of late. From possible new games to Phil Spencer's t-shirt, the old Rare title is certainly seeing a bit of a resurgence.
And now the toads are back in their first video game appearance in 20 years. For now though, it's only in Shovel Knight. During Microsoft's GDC press conference yesterday, the Battletoad's turned up at the end of a ID@Xbox montage as console specific characters for Shovel Knight. Their role is currently unclear as they could be playable or bosses, but they're likely to have to same role as Kratos in the PlayStaiton 4 version of the game.

This all has to be leading up to some kind of Battletoads game, right? Do you really put this much time into getting the IP into people's minds to then do nothing with it? I think not.
