Sex Criminals A Steal On eBay

$_57The news that Sex Criminals is being developed by Universal Studios on a TV deal with Matt Fraction and Kelly Sue DeConnick has led to a massive increase in interest in back issues of the comic.

A few days ago, an unslabbed copy of the standard cover for Sex Criminals #1 sold for $16, while the Ghost Variant cover sold for $10 both still well above its initial $2.99 cover price. A CGC 9.8 slabbed version

Today there has been a run on such issues, with all copies of issue 1 up to $20 being snapped up. A CGC 9.8 version has sold for $130 when a previous price was $35. The first six issues have been sold as a lot for $75This auction is the first live auction to end, with 5 new bids today driving it up to over $17 and may be the issue to test exactly how high it will go for.

Someone is trying to sell their CGC 9.8 version for $500. It's not inconceivable that the price actually could go that high in years to come.

The preview of the issue that appeared in What's Next, selling from $1 to $5 may also get a lttle attention as well…
