New Offbeat Series For Bat-Mite, Prez And Bizarro From DC's June Mini-Relaunch (UPDATE)

Three more series launching from DC Comics in June as part of their mini-relaunch, with 24 new titles, are Bat-Mite, Bizarro and Prez, described as all "offbeat, irreverently funny titles."

Bat-Mite was a character created in the fifties, by Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff, as a foil for Batman, equivalent to Superman's mischievous Mr Mxyzptlk, but has often been dismissed as art of Batman's sillier canon of characters and generally ignored – though he did turn up briefly in Batman: The Killing Joke and Grant Morrison was keen to have him appear during his Batman run.

The new comic will be a six-issue series by Mark Russell and Ben Caldwell.

Prez was a product of the seventies, a comic about a teen president comic inspired by new legislation about the minimum age of elected officials, by Joe Simon and Jerry Grandenetti. The character was briefly revived by Neil Gaiman in Sandman and then appeared in spinoff Vertigo comics by Peter Milligan and Mike Allred.
