Would You Pay To Read Digital Comics By The Hour?

We mentioned the launch of iVerse Media's new update for their ComicsPLUS app earlier today, with a host of new features designed it seems, to take on ComiXology at it's core.

Incorporating pirated files alongside paid for files, creating your own not-Guided View experiences, and more, another feature is that of being able to digitally "rent" graphic novels.

So, you can use the app to download graphic novels for less than the cost of buying a standard single comic, $1.99 for 24 hours, $2.99 for 48 hours, and $3.99 for 120 hours.

This isn't just streaming, it works offline as well on your device. And the first publishers offering this option are  Archie Comics, IDW Publishing and Valiant Entertainment.

Rent-a-comic. Would you be more likely to read the whole of Locke & Key in the knowledge that you could do if for about ten bucks, leaving you with nothing more than the memory of a good read?

As ever, you the dear reader will decide…
