Blacker Friday For Some Comic Stores This Week?

It looks like it may be a "Very Black Friday" for Midwest and Northeast comic stores, who get their comic book deliveries from Diamond Comic Distributors' warehouses in Plattsburgh.

Comics that were supposed to be shipped on Friday to northeast stores across to Michigan just found out this morning that they didn't leave Syracuse until 5am today.

Which means that if they aren't logged as arriving into UPS depots in Maumee, Ohio by midnight tonight they probably won't be in those comic book stores for New Comics Wednesday tomorrow.

In which case, they won't and in fact won't be in stores until Black Friday. Which, for stores with customers planning to visit their families over Thanksgiving, may be the kind of early Christmas present they can do without.

Here's a look at some UPS tracking…
