NYCC 2014 Report: Interview At Rooster Teeth On RWBY

I had fun at the Rooster Teeth booth interviewing director Monty Oum, co-writer Kerry Shawcross and community manager and voice actress Barbara Dunkelman about the origin of their hit series RWBY.

They talk about writing a more female-driven action series inspired by anime and 1990s Hong Kong action movies, the dynamics of production, the action choreography and motion capture, and they talk at length about the series being licensed for broadcast in Japan.
