Tom Hiddleston And Hugh Laurie To Make Spy Series

NightManagerHere's an interesting thought… Dr. Gregory House having a discussion about the virtues of humanity with Loki of Asgard.

Okay, we're not going to get that… but THR is reporting that Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston have signed on to make a TV series/miniseries based on John Le Carre's novel The Night Manager. No US network has been set but WME is fielding multiple straight-to-series offers.

The novel follows Jonathan Pine, a soldier turned hotel night manager. Pine crosses paths with a exotic woman named Sophie who has ties to Richard Onslow Roper, an illegal weapons merchant. The woman gives Pine incriminating documents, which he passes on to a friend in British intelligence. After Sophie winds up dead, Pine goes undercover as part of a sting against Roper to avenge her death.

Other adaptations of Le Carre's work include: A Most Wanted Man, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Constant Gardener.
