Jaselle Martino writes for Bleeding Cool:

PryceCritically acclaimed actor, Jonathan Pryce, will be joining the cast of Game of Thrones Season 5. This announcement came during the Song of Fire and Ice Panel at Comic-Con Friday. Pryce would be joined by eight new characters, as the story shift’s its focus to the Kingdom of Dorne, home to the fallen Oberyn Martell (played by Pedro Pascal, following his horrible death at the end of last season).

Jonathan Pryce known for “Brazil” and “Pirates of the Caribbean,” will star as The High Sparrow.

The new cast also includes a recasting of a young Myrcella Baratheon who was last seen being put in a ship to Dorne for her own protection a couple in season 2 but her stay there has become tenuous with the death of Oberyn, the Prince’s brother. Most of the new cast members are particularly the Martell family and citizens of Dorne. We also get to meet Oberyn’s three daughters: Oscar nominee, Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider) will play Obara Sand, Tyene Sand played by Rosabell Laurenti Sellers and Nymeria Sand played by Jessica Henwick.

The cast announcements caused for major celebrations within Hall H. The Game of Thrones panel consisted of cast members whose characters met their fate, like Pascal’s, during season four — including Rose Leslie as Ygritte, and Rory McCann as The Hound.
“I’m still sore,” joked McCann “Things weren’t looking too good the last time I saw him.”“I thought he got off lightly,” said Gwendoline Christie, the woman who bit the Hound’s ear off.

Game of Thrones, which is now filming on location in Spain, returns Spring of 2015.
