After 27 Years, DC Comics' Bob Wayne Says Goodbye To The Retailers Of San Diego Comic Con

Bob Wayne is the DC Senior Vice President – Sales. He is, basically, the retailer advocate for the direct market of comic stores, a comic store retailer himself, and he has been at DC Comics for 27 1/2 years. And he is much liked and loved by retailers in the industry.

He is not moving with DC Comics to Burbank in April.

Today at the Diamond Comic Distributor Retail Lunch at San Diego Comic Con, he said goodbye. You might need a tissue.

I've been writing about comics online for 23 years. Bob has always been there in a pretty similar position at DC Comics. This is, without doubt an end of an era, and DC's loss will be one publisher's gain, I'm sure.

Goodbye Bob. Looking forward to seeing you on holiday next year.
