Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 Gets Release Date

pirates-5You'll have to wait an extra year to see Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow again. Disney, who was originally eyeing a summer 2016 release, has slotted the fifth installment of their Pirates of the Caribbean franchise in for July 7, 2017.

At the moment, that weekend will belong to the Pirates alone, but it will already have Despicable Me 3 in the theaters having opened the week before and then Fox's Fantastic Four opening on July 14th.

The movie is being directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, based on a script by Jeff Nathanson.
