First Second To Publish Bastien Vivès' Last Man Series

51hYzz+u4zL._SY445_Bastien Vivès' graphic novel published earlier this year, Polina, a ballet epic set in Moscow and Berlin was a bit of a smash hit, especially in bookstores after picking up stellar reviews.

Now his manga-esque series Last Man, first published in 2013 and now onto its fourth volume has been picked up by First Second to be translated into English and published with the first volume The Stranger out next year.

Okay, so that's a little time to wait. So in the meantime, this is how it will be looking…

Young Adrian Velba is happy. After working hard all year in Battle School with Master Jansen, he will finally, for the first time, be able to participate in the annual tournament sponsored by Virgil King and Queen Efira. Even his partner, the puny Vlad's lack of combat skills fails to limit his enthusiasm. Unfortunately, a few hours before the close of nominations, Vlad withdraws from illness. Epic fail?
