Sergio Toppi's The Collector, Collected In English After Thirty Years

unnamed (3)

Sergio Toppi, principal influence on the likes of Sean Gordon Murphy, Simone Bianchi, Walt Simonson, Bill Sienkiewicz and Francesco Francavilla is to have his The Collector series finally collected in English. In September, Boom/Archaia,  will publish the comic in English for the first time since it was first published in 1984, after previously publishing his Sharaz-De: Tales From The Arabian Nights.

Far from the auction halls of the elite, The Collector seeks out rare and mysterious artifacts across the world. He is as at home in the salons of Paris as he is in the jungles of Borneo. Set against the backdrop of late 19th-century colonialism, THE COLLECTOR is a delightful, swashbuckling adventure! This edition features an introduction by Sean Gordon Murphy (The Wake).

And just  the kind of book to announce at Book Expo America!
