Why Did George Perez' She-Devils Change To Sirens?

At the Diamond Retailer Summit in Las Vegas two weekends ago, Boom! Studios told retailers their new series with George Pérez would debut in September. I couldn't help but notice that the title of the series was different than the one Pérez had been using when talking about the project for the last year. When Pérez announced the project at last year's Baltimore Comic-Con he referred to it as She-Devils, but Boom!'s announcement in Vegas called it Sirens.

Looks like it could have been a bit of a trademark clash. There's an Argentine hardcore punk band with the same name, as well as a motorcycle club, but that's in the wrong industry to be considered a conflict. But closer to home in comics, there's a certain red-haired woman warrior who is often known as the She-Devil With A Sword.  Did Dynamite Entertainment or Red Sonja LLC force the title change? Well, considering the first piece of teaser art for the newly dubbed Sirens does feature a red-haired, female barbarian… it could be.

Anyway, Sirens is a better title, I reckon.
