It's been feeling more and more likely every day, but now it's official. NBC have cancelled Community.
Fans infamously cried out for six seasons and a movie. They got five seasons, some of them rather reduced in stature.
I don't know how much I'll miss the show personally, but I do appreciate it, and I'm always disappointed when a series doesn't get to go out by the design of its creators and showrunners.
Having said that, the last season finale serves as a pretty good capper, don't you think?
Of course, there are already people crying out for a Netflix revival or a Kickstarter campaign. Right now, neither seems likely, but we'll see. Far stranger things have happened.
UPDATE: Sony are apparently already seeking a new home for Community. EW say that they'll be speaking with cable networks and streaming services.
