Something You Don't See Every Day: Amazing Spider-Man #20 Original Art By Steve Ditko, Complete Story

Here's something you don't see every day, just acquired by original art Dealer/Collector Mike Burkey for his personal collection — the complete Spider-Man story from Amazing Spider-Man #20.  The 1964 issue features the first appearance of the Scorpion, written by Stan Lee and drawn by Steve Ditko.

According to Burkey, Ditko Spider-Man stories which are known to exist and are still intact as complete issue sets (in other words, have not been broken up into individual pages) include issues #1, 3, 4, 11, 24, and 33.  Issues #14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 28, 29, and 38 are presumed to exist as complete sets as well.

It'd be interesting to see this in an upcoming Artist's Edition from IDW, an idea I'm sure has already crossed Scott Dunbier's mind.

In the meantime, check out the entire issue on Burkey's site.
