During a new interview with MTV, Patrick Stewart seems a little confused about how much we all know about the X-Men films. Either he’s treating the audience like they don’t know he’s in Days of Future Past or, perhaps, implying something interesting about that film’s repercussions for the X-Men.
Meanwhile, he’s either started to tease another film that we know nothing about… or is being peculiarly coy about X-Men: Apocalypse. It’s all quite hard to parse, really. What is he implying?
So here’s what Stewart had to say when asked if he’d be back for X-Men: Apocalypse. I think it’s probably a huge spoiler, so you might want to turn back now, before it’s too late.
That is one of the blessings about fantasy and science fiction. You’re never really dead. I would love to come back and do some more… There might be something else. A little bird has whispered that there might be something ‘X-Men’ related.
Maybe he’ll have a cameo in the X-Force film that we’re expecting to see in 2018? Or the Fantastic Four film that’s about to start rolling?
Days of Future Past will be in cinemas in late May. I’m certainly keen to see it.
