Drew Goddard Will Also Direct The Sinister Six Film In Addition To Writing It

We've known for months that Drew Goddard is writing one of Sony's Amazing Spider-Man spinoff films, Sinister Six, and now THR report he is taking on additional duties, and will also direct the film as well.

Now the question remains who will make up this classic villainous group, aside from, presumably, Electro (Jamie Foxx), the Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and the Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan), who will be introduced next month in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Or will all six be introduced?

There's no timeline on either Sinister Six or Venom yet, as Sony has only penciled in dates for the third and fourth installments of Amazing Spider-Man in 2016 and 2018 thus far. Presumably the two spinoffs will be released sometime alongside the "main" franchise films.

This, in addition to writing Marvel's Daredevil Netflix series, has made quite the go-to comic book adaptation guy out of Goddard, who previously impressed genre fans with Cabin in the Woods.
