From Superior Spider-Man To Revenge – Advance Reorders On The Up
Greetings from the coal face of the direct comics market. Where retailers try to increase their orders of certain comics ahead of sale. Where supply and demand and most accurately reflected, where you can see which books are hot, where new orders are coming in and how retailers are reacting to new, unanticipated desire!
The launch of Fantastic Four #1 has given retailers massive discounts if they order 150% of their All New X-Men #18 numbers. Sandman Overture #2 is returnable of retailers order 95% of their issue 1 numbers. Deadly Class #2 is also returnable if retailers match their orders of issue 1. Yet again, it's Superior Spider-Man which tops the advance reorder list without any extra incentive rather than just extra demand from customers, with Guardians Of The Galaxy #12 right behind it, on the success of issue 11.NOW. Serenity also has returnable incentives but Black Science #4 is showing the continued success and demand for that new Image series. Revenge #1 and Batman #29 also show considerable increase in demand ahead of publication
