Nobody is really writing about it, thanks in large part to its low-budget, lower-marketing status, but there’s a new Sinbad movie coming in just a few weeks and it has stop motion animation.
Unofficially, they’re clearly going for an association with the Sinbad movies Ray Harryhausen provided FX and creatures for. That’s really no bad thing.
Here’s a trailer for Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage, complete with Patrick Stewart voiceover and some of the animation.
I’ll admit it: I’m only really interested in the animation. I wonder how much of it there is?
Seems like you’ll have to be in LA, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Cleveland or Philadelphia to see the film when it goes on release on February 7th. If you do go, please tell me how it is.
