Video: Need For Speed’s Real-Life Stunts With Stuntman Lance Gilbert

Though the virtual brushes of CG artists will no doubt come into play throughout the Need For Speed movie – it is, after all, 2013 –  some rather ambitious stunt sequences for the film are being created practically.

This video showcases some scrapey, sparky, thrilly and spilly bits, as well as some words from Lance Gilbert, the stunt co-ordinator with a notably steady, calm tone (thank heavens).

As you’ll have seen, the CG will come into play removing stunt rigging and not putting in cars. That should add some real mass to the sequences.

Need For Speed stars Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots and is scheduled to be in US cinemas on March 14th next year.
