You simply cannot have missed the news that Monty Python are reuniting for a live show next Summer. Promised as a mix of new and old material, the huge stadium performance was announced this morning during a pretty high-profile press conference.
But one detail seems to have slipped under the radar, pretty much.
While taking questions from the floor, Terry Gilliam announced that his current plan is to shoot his long-awaited, twice-thwarted movie The Man Who Killed Don Quixote in the Canary Islands next Autumn.
It’s this mention of the Canary Islands that suggests some degree of developed plans here. It makes me feel optimistic.
Tickets to the Python show will go on sale next Monday. Wish me luck.
