My history with Before Watchmen is a troubled one. I didn’t think the series was a great idea, and watched the spectacle of the multiple titles unfold in my local comic shop with some very mixed feelings.

But now, confirming some rumors and exploding some others, Bleeding Cool has learned exclusively that a development order for a television pilot based upon Garth Ennis’ and Steve Dillon‘s ballbustingly blasphemous comic series from the nineties, Preacher, has been given by Sony Pictures Television studio.
Looks like there are still plenty of hard feelings for Frank Darabont about his highly publicized, controversial firing from AMC’s still massively popular zombie series The Walking Dead.
