You Might Have To Be Tony Stark To Afford This

IM1I love Sideshow Collectibles and the products they create… but every once in a while they put out something that makes me wonder who would actually buy it. I came across one of those this weekend.

IM2Created by Beast Kingdom, you can now own a life-size replica of Iron Man's Mark 42 armor. That is if you have the $8,499.99 (or monthly payments as low as $1,700.00) plus the $637.49 in tax and $500.00 shipping. If you do, keep in mind that it comes in three boxes – some assemble is required and you will need access to a power outlet to make it light up. Seems the replica mini-arc reactor does not kick out enough juice to run the suit.

Here is what Sideshow had to say about this:

Sideshow Collectibles introduces the Iron Man MARK 42 Life-Size Figure from Beast Kingdom. Marvel Studios' blockbuster release Iron Man 3, is coming to theaters in just a few weeks, and you can add the newest Iron Man armor to your collection. Over 7 feet tall, this breathtaking Life-Size piece is individually painted with high gloss automotive paint for a stunning finish. This film-accurate recreation features brilliant LED light up eyes, arc reactor, palm and display base. The Iron Man MARK 42 Life Size Figure is sure to be the centerpiece of any collector's display.

Now the idea of spending over $9,500.00 on a giant action figure may seem outlandish… but just think of the hits you'll get when you upload the video tape of someone breaking into your house and then soiling themselves when they see you have an Avenger as your night watchmen.
