Jesse Eisenberg And Kristen Stewart To Star In New Film From Project X Director And Chronicle Writer

Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart had some awkward chemistry that worked for their characters in Adventureland, so it'll intriguing to see how they interact now, six years later, in what sounds like a very different film.

THR reports the two are reuniting for American Ultra, described as an action comedy about a stoner and his girlfriend who find themselves dodging shady government assassins when the stoner's past comes back to haunt them. The producer calls it "the most fun you can possibly have in a movie theater without the use of drugs, fireworks or canola oil." Sure.

American Ultra will be directed by Project X helmer Nima Nourizadeh from a script by Max Landis, the writer of Chronicle, so this project has its pluses and minuses. It'll film in April of next year, if financing and all that works out this week at AFM.
