Though I always knew the Ghibli film as Kiki’s Flying Delivery Service, somewhere along the line, that Flying got lost, and I guess it wasn’t there in the case of the original books.
It’s apparently not there in the case of Takashi Shimizu‘s new live action version either.
But the flying, lower-case-f, definitely is. Indeed, POV broomstick flying makes up the good part of what you’re about to see.
Thanks to Anime New Network for the heads up, and the poster at the top of this post. Looks like Japanese audiences will get to see the film from next March, and I’ll keep you updated on when it will be headed to West, whether to cinemas or by DVD and Blu-ray import.
