Arresting The Batman Of Rio

10500380

Protests yesterday in Rio, Brazil, over legislation to ban the use of masks in public had a rather invested participant.

Batman.

Eron Melo Moraes, who was dressed as Batman and was taken to the police station after refusing to remove his mask. He was then released without the mask, but returned to the protest back in the hood, until the protest was dispersed later in the evening,

"I knew I could be arrested. I did it consciously. I explained to police that it was a protest against this unfair law that prohibits the use of masks. It has to be overturned" he is quoted as saying.

He may return to the streets tonight…
