Watch: Four Clips From Frederick Wiseman’s Lastest Documentary, At Berkeley

Frederic Wiseman’s documentaries are known for the way in which they appear observational, like you are the fly on the wall in a particular institution, but Wiseman doesn’t just leave a camera in a room to see what happens. His films are carefully constructed, thoughtfully created and edited with a lot of attention to how shots fit together. And they are often remarkable.

His latest is is entitled At Berkeley and takes a look behind the scenes at Berkeley University. At Berkeley is over four hours long and according to reports coming out of Venice and Toronto it’s top class Wiseman. I can’t wait.

At Berkeley is playing the London Film Festival in October and will no doubt be available soon through Zipporah, the official distributor for all of Wiseman’s films.
