Retailer thoughts:

Honarable mention this week to Itty Bitty Hellboy that sold 125% of regular Hellboy numbers in the first two days. Not enough to make the list but enough to get noticed!
New Avengers #9 sold out here; it seems Infinity tie-ins are actually selling. It's a testament to Hickman's provided road map for the event. Sadly, so far Hickman and Bodenheim's Secret #3 seemed to be all but forgotten by customers since its lengthy hiatus. Jason Aaron's Wolverine and the X-men is one of the most consistently fun superhero comics on the shelf, but disappointingly, seems to be outsold 2 to 1 at our store by All New X-men and Uncanny X-men.

Lots of sales on Batman Superman #1 & 2, along with #3. Still selling all 6 Trinity War Justice Leagues. On Wednesday, we will be giving all our customers who we cannot offer a 3D cover to, Dan Didio's mailing address with the hopes that they will vent their displeasure over this whole mess directly to the source. Diamond Comics Distributors and the entire comic retail community should not be held responsible for the allocations and all the ugly underneath that will arise from Villains month.
Not about this week, but next: We're getting 16 of those Avengers-Whatever OGN hardcovers next week, and of course they went up on the "Available at Astro Sept 4" listing Wednesday (when the invoice downloaded) as usual. We've gotten a few "Oh good, I've been looking forward to that" comments from folks who are going to be disappointed when we have to tell them "Sorry, we're getting them next week but you can't have them. Diamond did an oops, so they're not available at Astro Sept. 4. " Maybe we'll just invoice and bag the pre-sold ones next week, and tell the customers that they're not allowed to open the bags until October, heh heh heh."

Okay, maybe not. Once again, Diamond starts a little fire, we get unpaid extra work putting it out…

Justice League #23 was the book to grab this week. Sold 79 copies in 4 hours, complete sell out. Amazing Spider-Man was the mover in the back-issue market this week. Condition and issue numbers did not make a difference, people just wanted Spidey.
