Archie Comics Cancels Russian Trip Over Anti-Gay Laws

kk7-0Again, one of those headlines that ten years, I couldn't have even envisaged.

In an interview with Back2Stonewall, Archie writer Dan Parent has revealed that the Archie gang will no longer be travelling to Russia in their upcoming foreign adventures, due to their newly announced anti-gay laws. He told the site;

"Yes. Russia should be boycotted, so much so that actually in an upcoming special four issue story arch I'm writing the Archie gang are going to take a world tour to four countries. Russia was to be one of them.  But they're not going there now. They just can't and  they won't. They love and support Kevin."

That would be Kevin Keller, Archie's first (but not last) openly gay character.
