Mark Strong And Bryan Cranston Both Rumoured For The Role Of Lex Luthor

Mark Strong

The LexCorp logo made a couple appearances in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel and has, of course, led to a lot of speculation about Lex Luthor appearing in the forthcoming sequel.

DigitalSpy have been speaking to Mark Strong about his new series Low Winter Sun, which beings airing on Fox in the UK next Friday, and they asked him if there was any truth to the rumours that he would play  Lex Luthor in the Man of Steel sequel.

Strong replied,

All I can say is… watch this space.

Bit of an odd answer to that question really. I suppose if he isn’t playing Lex Luthor that answer still makes sense. But it certainly seems to suggest he is going to, or at least that he’s in contention for the role.

El Mayimbe from Latino Review seems to think that Bryan Cranston is in line for the role though. He had a bit of fun on Twitter the other night by hinting at who he had heard was up for the role, before dropping a very obvious hint in the direction of Cranston.

Both Mark Strong and Bryan Cranston are certainly fine actors and both have been bald at times. They’re pretty much the only requirements, right?
