Welcome, Aniz Adam Ansari, To DC Comics

aniz_doorwayportraits-12Congrats to Los Angeles photographer Aniz Adam Ansari, who has just landed an Associate Editor gig at DC Comics Digital in Burbank.

He already messes with his photographic work in a variety of entertaining fashions, now we get to see him do it to DC's comics as well.

Could this be the kind of thing we could be looking forward to?

He primarily shoots medium format film, process and scans the negatives in a variety of unconventional and experimental ways, and then layers & composites the negatives digitally to create his own surreal and distorted representation of reality.

Thematically the works deals with ideas of identity, fear, naturalism, masquerade, and evil within.
