Here Comes Bleeding Cool Magazine #5

photoToday sees Bleeding Cool Magazine #5, the sixth issue counting #0 of the Bleeding Cool print spinoff. I couldn't be more proud that it's made it this far.

A San Diego Comic Con special, it includes an article I wrote detailing tales of sex, drugs, violence and cosplay from San Diegos past, and a promise to report such again from this year's shenanigans.

Eric Esquivel and Steven Grant swap spit over working for Boom and what it's meant to their respective careers, as the newcomer and the stalwart.

Shane Black explains to Brendon Connelly the process of creating Iron Man 3, the disagreements, the conflicts and the way through, exactly what's happening with the Runaways script, and how they choose what to ignore of what the  Marvel New York offices say.

Brendon also gives us his set report from The Wolverine, and how the Japanese cast helped keep the look of the film authentic by repeatedly getting the production team to alter the set. How Hugh Jackman let him have a go with the claws, and how Hugh sells the illusion that they work…

A massive Swamp Thing retrospective by Rich Handley, an interview with Dark Horse's EiC by Dan Wickline, Dan Marks' piece on Aspen's revival for Fathom, Bleeding Cool Magazine editor Jim Kuhoric's love for The Rocketeer, a gallery of Frank Cho with captions from me, and a price guide for previous San Diego Comic Con exclusive comic books.

It's my favourite issue to date. You can feel the heft in your hand. If you like Bleeding Cool the website, do me a favour, pick up Bleeding Cool Magazine #5 with this week's comics. Look for the Locke And Key cover…
