Anne Rice Graphic Novel About Life Of Jesus With Mike S Miller Cancelled On Kickstarter. Here's Why.

d7546ba8147326f8ee73e17c53f1f767_largeI just got the notification as a backer. The graphic novel drawn by Injustice: Gods Among Us artist Mike S Miller, based on Anne Rice's novel about the life of Jesus, and created in collaboration with Rice was cancelled on Kickstarter.

Naturally, I feared the worst. But I reached out to Mike, who told me;

A backer came in that wanted to fund the whole thing, and it would be kind of stupid to have him fund it through Kickstarter and have to pay all those fees. So after it's all done, we might re-launch the kickstarter so fans can get the extra goodies.

And the publisher Sea Lion Books told me;

Hello Rich. We've have been fortunate enough to receive outside funding which will allow us to complete the project. Thank you for your support. You will still receive a poster and credit in the book.

So don't worry if you get a cancellation notice, folks. The project has been resurrected…
