So Far, The Only New Thing We Know Is In The Hobbit Extended Cut Is Some Nudity

Somebody is getting naked, or maybe only partly naked, in the extended edition of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. So far, this extra portion of body parts is the only thing we know the new material will contain.

At the same time, we know no real details about this nudity. Our only clue is the new MPAA rating annotation for the film. The short version was originally stamped with:

Rated PG-13 for intense fantasy action violence and frightening images.

While the longer edit now comes with this classification:

Rated PG-13 for extended sequences of intense fantasy action violence, frightening images and fleeting nudity

Yes, the extended cut even has the word ‘extended’ added into its MPAA description. How drôle.

Now, I can’t even guess who might be fleetingly nude, or why. Is Gollum’s loincloth just going to flap up for a few frames as he scampers about? Will we get an “upshot” as one of the Trolls strides over a Hobbit?

Maybe we ought to get straight on to A Million Moms if there’s going to be nudity in the film and its still only rated PG-13. Society must be on the verge of collapse.

Thanks to The One Ring for the… warning? I’ll let you know more when we have it, specifically how much longer the longer cut is and when it’s going to be on shelves.
