Superman Unchained Dominates Advance Reorder Increases

The release of details on the Superman Unchained variant covers (though sadly not the one on the right) seems to have spurred a rush on advance reorders of the title, placing 1st, 2nd, 18th and 19th place on the advance reorder charts, measuring the comics that retailers are upping their orders on, ahead of publication. Second prints and variants are overrepresented in this chart as often that is the only way they can be ordered, but DC also does well with Green Lantern (in light of the new ring promotion for the new creative teams) and Batman/Superman. But without such promotions, Superior Spider-Man, Earth 2, All New X-Men and Age Of Ultron are also responding to still-increasing interest in the titles. This is also good news for Ten Grand and Herobear And The Kid, suggesting better than expected sales of the first, and anticipated increased success of the latter, possibly after Free Comic Book Day.

As for books that have already been published putting on sales, Art Of Marvel Studios has clearly done very well for stores and, oddly, publicity around The Sixth Gun not being a TV show seems to have pushed sales – and reorders -of the colletion.
